Admiral Roofing Specialists covers this part of East Yorkshire from one yard, at 46 St Marys Close, Hessle. If the house is in Hessle, Hull, Beverley, Anlaby Common, Willerby or Woodmansey, we can come and look at the roof.
Most of the roofs on this side of the Humber are clay pantile or concrete tile. Older terraces are often slate. Flat roofs turn up on dormers, bays and rear extensions, in felt or GRP. Chimney stacks, lead valleys and gutters are part of the same job. We look at the roof before we price it, and the quote can be put in writing. The work we agree is guaranteed for at least 12 months, and often for longer depending on the job.
Hessle
Hessle is home. The yard is at 46 St Marys Close, HU13 0HJ, at the north end of the Humber Bridge. Admiral Roofing Specialists has worked from this address since 1992.
The town has older houses towards the centre and the foreshore, and later streets out towards the bridge, Anlaby and Willerby. Clay pantiles and concrete tiles are the usual coverings, with slate on some of the older roofs. A leak, a slipped course or a full re-roof starts with a visit from the yard.
Jobs here: New roofs, repairs, slate and tile, chimneys and ridges.
Hull
Hull is the city to the east of the yard. We cover it for the same work we do in Hessle, including Boothferry Estate on the west side of the city.
Much of Hull is brick terrace and semi-detached housing. The slopes are pantile or tile, and a flat roof on a rear extension, dormer or bay is common. Felt, GRP, lead flashings, gutters and chimney stacks are regular jobs. We come from Hessle, look at the roof, and price what we have seen.
Jobs here: Repairs, felt, GRP, gutters, leadwork.
Beverley
Beverley is the market town north of Hessle, past Woodmansey. It is a short drive from the yard, and we have covered it for new roofs and repairs since 1992.
The older streets have pantile and slate. The estates around the town are mostly tile. Chimneys, ridges and the lead where a stack meets the covering are the details that fail first. A visit is arranged in the same way as a job in Hessle.
Jobs here: New roofs, slate and tile, chimneys and ridges, leadwork, Velux windows.
Anlaby Common
Anlaby and Anlaby Common sit between Hessle and Hull, a few minutes from St Marys Close. We treat them as part of the Hessle round.
The housing is largely semis and detached houses with tiled roofs, and flat roofs on porches, bays and extensions. The calls are leaks, slipped tiles and full re-roofs. We look at the roof before we price it.
Jobs here: Repairs, new roofs, felt, GRP.
Willerby
Willerby lies between Hessle and the western edge of Hull. It is a short run from the yard on St Marys Close.
The roofs are the tiled houses of this part of East Yorkshire, with chimneys, valleys and the occasional felt dormer. Repairs and new roofs are both carried out from Hessle, and the work we agree is guaranteed for at least 12 months.
Jobs here: Repairs, new roofs, leadwork, chimneys and ridges.
Woodmansey
Woodmansey is the village south of Beverley, on the road between Beverley and Hull. It is well inside the area we work.
The houses are a mix of older properties and later homes. The covering is pantile or tile. The job is the same as anywhere else we cover: we look at the roof, price it, and do the work we have agreed.
Jobs here: Repairs, slate and tile, fascias and gutters.
