Cookie Policy
Last updated 19 October 2026.
Who we are
This Cookie Policy is published by Admiral Roofing Specialists Limited, company number 11701881, trading as Admiral Roofing Specialists, of 46 St Marys Close, Hessle, East Yorkshire, HU13 0HJ, for the website admiralroofingservices.co.uk.
Questions about cookies can be sent to info@admiralroofingservices.co.uk or asked on 01482 627895. How we use personal information is explained in the Privacy Policy.
The law
Regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 says that a website may store information, or gain access to information stored, on your device only if you have been given clear and comprehensive information and have consented, unless the storage or access is strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for.
Consent, where it is required, must meet the standard in the UK GDPR. It must be a real choice. A pre-ticked box is not consent. This site does not set a cookie of its own. The contact page loads an OpenStreetMap frame with the page, and OpenStreetMap may set its own cookies when that frame loads. Those cookies are not ours. The spam check, when it is switched on, loads when you start filling in the quote form.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a site asks your browser to store, so that the site can recognise the browser on a later visit or during the same visit. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage in the browser, pixels, and fingerprinting scripts.
This website does not use local storage, session storage, advertising pixels, or fingerprinting. The quote form does not use a session cookie. The security code in the form is a hidden field in the page, not a cookie, and it is not stored on your device after you leave.
What this site sets
Admiral Roofing Specialists does not set a cookie on this website. There is no analytics cookie and no advertising cookie. There is no cookie for remembering preferences, because the site does not keep an account and does not store a preference.
Blocking cookies in your browser will not stop the pages loading and will not stop the quote form working.
The host’s server log may record an IP address when a page is requested. A server log is not a cookie. It is described in the Privacy Policy.
The map
The contact page shows our address in text, a link to Google Maps, and an OpenStreetMap frame. The frame loads with the page, so you can see where the yard is without a further step.
Your browser requests the map from the OpenStreetMap Foundation. OpenStreetMap may then set its own cookies, and it will receive the technical data needed to deliver the map, including your IP address. Those cookies are not ours. We do not read them. The address is also written on the page.
OpenStreetMap’s own privacy notice is at osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy.
The spam check
The quote form can use a spam check supplied by Cloudflare, Inc., called Turnstile. It is used only when we have switched it on. When it is switched off, the form does not load Cloudflare and Cloudflare sets no cookie through this site.
When it is switched on, the check loads when you start filling in the quote form. Cloudflare may set a cookie and may read information already on your device, in order to tell a person from an automated submission. That processing is there to provide the form you have asked to use, and to keep the form from being abused. We receive only a pass or fail result.
Cloudflare’s notice is at cloudflare.com/turnstile-privacy-policy.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser. The Information Commissioner’s Office explains the controls at ico.org.uk/for-the-public/online/cookies. Browser makers publish their own steps. Blocking third-party cookies will not affect the pages of this site. It may stop the map, or the spam check if that check is switched on, from completing.
You can also:
- use the telephone number instead of the form;
- ask us, under the GDPR Policy, about personal information we hold. A cookie that we do not set is not information we hold.
Changes
If we start to set a cookie of our own, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires consent, we will ask for it before the cookie is set. The date at the top of this page will change. Until then, the position is the one written here.
